While listening to her favourite music with her little furry companion, Bobbie, by her side, Laural pours her memories, thoughts, and colours onto the canvas.

As Laural shares: “My art is purely intuitive. In my mind, a piece of art starts with a thought, colour or memory of a scene I have visited. I don’t paint from a photo as I become too intent on detail. My process starts with a background colour, a quick sketch in my mind and the idea begins to form through many layers of paint. How I envisage the final painting can be quite different from the finished piece. My work is colourful, playful and just a little bit quirky, but my love of our Australian landscape is on full display in my unique style.”
